and don't any mention a condom!

What i'm talking about is that we all spend a considerable amount of our hard earned / theveied / scrounged dosh on our motors and NO-ONE wants to break it really bad, so how about all you senior members out there pointing pout some good online guide or giving us a few lines of wisdom (expecting a barrage of sarky / rude comments at thios bit) AND then perhaps our moderators (Don't they do a great job!) could pull these into a simple FAQ Section for new buggers like me who have no experince, a small wallet, but a big motor and a big desire and an even bigger fear of breaking it.

OK, over to y'all,......;)

Before you go laneing make sure you have good recovery points, as you will get stuck at some point. Never go laneing alone.

Look before you leap and also drive as slow as possible and as fast as necessary. If you do hit somthing you do it gently. If you get stuck when at a crawl you have half a chance of reversing back out.

Don't waste yer dosh on liftkits and hooge tyres for normal greenlaning a standard disco/defender/RR is more than capable enough on standard sized AT tyres.,
i agree wi red
shodnt need much mod g,laneing
if going serious off roading a winch is handy granted but folk spend fortunes getting motors kitted out
make sure youve got gear fer you ,flask biscuits mobile extra clothes in case yer stuck fer a bit

i bought ma td5 with all terrains and a winch on it and drive it on construction sites and pick up deer on hill if out shooting no proms with it no lift kit or any thing else

been stuck couple o times if no other landys walked to a farm quick disscusion hand over small beer token problem solved much cheaper than loads o gear just burning fuel

Beware peer pressure, and ignore the red mist.
If you don't fancy something, don't drive it.
There is nothing wrong with knowing your vehicles (or your) limits, and turning back.

keep a decent distance from the vehicle in front. If it gets stuck or stops suddenly you don't wanna find yourself attached to its rear or stuck yourself. Also make sure you always have basic recovery equipment on board.
