Does Discovery Sport support 275 width tire?

Just want to know my DS 2020 can fit 275/40/r21 tire? original is 235/50/r20
My concern is whether the front wheel(275) would be rubbed when turning.

Owners manual normaĺy provides a list of suitable sizes.

This site will help yer calculate the tyre size difference.

Probably not. that is quite a width increase. But if you can't find anyone modding in this, all you can do is try and report back.

I heard someone put 275 tyre on his Evoque. You know Evoque has the same body width as DS, does that mean the tyre also can be used on DS?

Why fit none standard tyres. According to the site below they're 1.5 inch wider. Compare that to your car with the wheels on full lock and measure the gap. You risk a rougher ride going from 20 to 21 inch wheel.

The most important fing to look for is catching somefink underneath when the wheel is on full lock. Also with the suspension compressed like when oft road or heavy breaking. It depends on what wheel yer going to fit, if the additional width is on the inside, outside or shared.

Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 19.1mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 19.1mm more than before.

Just refer to the site answer, I'd like to keep the 0 ET and custom a 9.5J/r21 wheel, looks fit for daily normal driving.

With tosh roads and the weight of the car running 20s is challenging, 21s will have even less strength. Avoid potholes. The DS I had on 20s cracked 2 rims during ownership.

You can generally fit whatever you like. As to whether you should is a different matter.
There are many things to take into consideration like wheel bearings, MOT compliance, accelerated suspension wear, ride comfort, vehicle safety through changes in DSC parameters, wheels cracking through impacts and a host of other issues connected to fitting wheel not tested by the manufacturer.

It does make sense.
