Hi
I saw a post some time ago from a guy in Norfolk with stated in his signature that he was a mobile mechanic, can't for the life of me find his profile now.

Anyhoo, I need my swivel seals and king pin bearings changing, and my springs changing, is there anyone around Bury St Eds, Mildenhall area interested in doing such a thing, as I have just cocked up all the paint work on my Landy which is going to take an Ice age to put right, I've already bought the bits, have a barn, have tools etc, have never done swivel seals before and would rather pay someone to do it so at least I can learn in real time how to do it.

I could get my local garage guy to do it, but I thought there might be someone out there locally who might want to do instead.

James Martin is a very good mechanic .Front swivel seal's and bearings are not hard to change IF you have a good LANDROVER manual springs are quite straight forward ,give them a try might make up for the bodywork problems.

Work commitments are getting in the way of my play time, the paintwork has to be corrected, its just really orange peely as the paint was too cold and was too thick so I will flat it all back. Just never had a rollered paint job come out so **** before, it's so bad on the wings and doors I was just pricing used replacements and starting over, but doors are stupid money.
Granted, I have swapped springs before, just thought maybe someone wanted to do it in exchange for some folding papery things, maybe I would chuck in a kebab too.

Cheers for the info, but the Landy is kind of a static item right now, as I have it striped as I am buggering about with the body work, and the wheels are going to the powder coaters next week and no windscreen in it either, so I was hoping that a local LZ member might be able to do the work in my barn for some cash, but nobody seems to be around these parts.
