Help!!

I'm new to land rovers and have recently purchased a freelander 2. I've just bought 4 new tyres and had them fitted last week. I went for the Goodyear wrangler all weather tyres. I know they are like marmite and you either love them or hate them. However I didn't get XL ones and now I'm panicking that I've just wasted £400 on tyres! Do you have to have XL tyres on a freelander 2?

I'd not worry, as long as they're rated for the vehicle weight.
I normally go for the XL or highest load rating for the size, as the side walls are a bit thicker and so stronger.

Having said that, mine is currently sitting on a set of 104 load rated tyres, although it did come with them.
When they're in need of replacement, I'll get 108 load rating tyres, as the cost difference is negligible.

Phew that's eased my mind a bit thank you! Will go for the XL next time.

Also sorry, location changed!

Pop over to the Freelander section, and say hi! There's a growing number of FL2 owning members over there, always happy to help the Freelander related questions. ;)
