Do you need to re-calibrate EAS after fitting new height sensor?

Hi

I had an intermittent rear left sensor fault. I have changed the sensor and now the 35MPH MAX light is on and its constantly faulty.

Does it need to be plugged in to diagnostics and recalibrated?

Yes it does....sorry.

Get hold of the Diagnostics cable and software from Datatek (about £16 plus the postage) this will allow you to recalibrate the system and clear the faults!

Normally yes, unless you are very lucky and the replacement is giving a signal pretty close to the original.

I had the height blocks made when I did mine

No need for height blocks although it does make it easier. A steel tape or suitably marked piece of wood is all that's needed for the measurements and of course the EAS software to clear the faults and do the adjustments.

Just turned her over this morning and faults have gone, but slightly lopsided so just needs calibration

The car will reset for minor faults .
