:mad:hi i have just filled up my 300tdi disco tonight and its leaking fuel i have filled right 2 the top, and the bottom 1 side was wet with diesel, but only passenger side, and only a drip
any ideas also is it easy to remove, also can i drain wat fuel i can as its full
thankyou any replys gratefully received

no drain plug on disco tank, only way is to remove the blanking plate from the boot floor to gain access to the sender unit, remove sender unit and stick a syphon in the tank to remove fuel, but you will most likely find its one of the pipes on the top of the tank that has corroded that is causing the leak

right right to the top? it does say 'do not overfill' on mine, I filled it right up the neck once and it leaked all over the garage forecourt.
never done it since... seen the price of diesel?

Firstly...yes you can drain the fuel, the old hosepipe and mouth into a 50liter container is the preferred method on merseyside.

Secondly...are you sure its leaking...maybe its fuel running out of the overflow in the filler neck..??
