Discovery d1 o/s door rqd in British racing green

morning..
D1 o/s drivers door just got damaged thus I'm seeking a replacement in British racing green, I believe the colour was only used for a year on the aviemore models but stand to be corrected?

Well you are correct BRG and the only vehicle to have it, other than the limited addition Goodwood as seen a the Motor Show in London in 1997 ( I was there) and there was only 500 made now very rare, although the name of Goodwood was removed as it was the registered name of the racing circuit .

I'd say your best bet would be to get "A DOOR" that fits then get along to a specialist body shop who can match to the existing colour of the vehicle and respray the door. Older vehicles might be subject to fading paintwork which might mean that even the original paint won't match properly.

Yes, this is why I'm looking for one in the correct colour, doesn't mean it will definitely match but probably worth a try. I know how difficult it is to blend old paint, unless the complete side Is done!

You could try putting a request for one in the Wanted section of Anything Goes.

It is there specifically for sub 50 posts members who cannot place a request in the Sales / Wanted section.

Maybe someone who is breaking them may see it.
