more info needed:
what was you doing before this noise happened and when it started, (ie off road/on road was the diff lock use recentley?)

few things possible

half shaft worn. replace the diff oil check waste oli has no small lumps of oil.
the coupleing on the diff behind the rubber doughnut (internal splines worn)
are you sure the noise comeing from the rear? difflock has been dissengaged fully?

ok it happend today when off roading at kirton the rear diff coupling " rubber doughtnut" broke so replaced it & it seemed ok diff lock was used today only seems to do it when turning even more when i press the clutch in its high box & the diff light is not on

are you sure its from the back of the truck, i would think its one of the front cv joints, i had it where a freind of mine kept saying its a noise from the rear and it turned out to be a cv joint.

this is the only thing that ti can think of that will cause a nose when turning, nothing at the back can go wrong, unless the dif is wound up whitch i doubt.

dose it bang more on the left or right turn?

cheers baz

So you expected us to help with / diagnose a problem when you hadn't even looked at it yourself and you couldn't even tell which end it was coming from?
There's a word for people like you.

DD has it, CV joint. Search the forum ... covered often.

ok sorry but it did sound like it coming from the back it wasent till i got my mate to look as i turned then work out is was coming from the front left n/s

as mentioned previously have you had a good look at the u/js on the front prop they can throw noises up that sound like coming from somewhere else , probably not the case here but another strange noise often thrown up after off road is a small stone lodged against your disc ?

have checked they seem ok its not just a noise it nocks & slows down when turning on full lock slight clicking noise when going in a straight line
