Disco 1 Discovery 300TDi battery

i know this is a Q often asked, but I can't find a decent thread...
I also know the answer is " the biggest (CCA) that you can fit"

But what batteries are you fitting in a D1 300TDi?
I can only seem to find 600CCA 70Ah 072 style batteries, nothing bigger.

What is your recommendation (without costing £350 ) and more importantly, where from.

just any that are suitable from the motor factor ,having to get a replacement because your new one is poor seems common across all types, my last one took 3 before a good one arrived and it was cheaper, pot luck

Enduroline CXV-X 1000 Amp from tayna batteries is what i fitted but only due to it being a lesure/cranking battery so it has aux poles to screw any extras too got mine last june not had an issue yet.... was just short of £90

doesnt fit - due to aircon pipes. max length is 260mm!

no air con in mine....never thought of that!

This will fit https://www.tayna.co.uk/E24-Varta-Blue-Dynamic-Car-Battery-570413063-069-071-072-P3209.html but it will have to be placed down under the ac pipes (right hand down) at an angle before it's positioned and sitting correctly on the battery tray, as I found out two months ago. Much the same as the two previous batteries I've fitted, the original LR battery just lifted up and out from the tray.
