Hi All, new member here, though no stranger, constantly dipping in for help and reading forums. Love it ! Could I ask for some advice please. Love my disco, been working on her 4 years, 1994, 200,000, runs great. Haven't seen an L plate looking as good. Learned to weld on her and working through repairing/replacing all components as I go. Big dilemma as follows: clutch failed yesterday, not a surprise as fork has been clunking for 2 years. Started strip down to remove boxes, ordered clutch, a driveline, heavy duty fork , crankshaft seal and all bits and bobs. Never done a clutch so looking forward to it. Seriously thinking of getting recon transfer and gearbox from ashcroft whilst I have them off. No main issues with either except backlash, bit of whine and the usual leaks. Am I being too fussy. Just thinking high mileage, both are reasonable nick but obviously well worked and 24 years old. Just wanted to bounce this off someone before I commit, tell me if I'm bonkers or thinking rationally.
Thanks in advance. And sorry for the long post!

I read somewhere here that AP was a decent purchase, I thought it was standard. My concern with valeo is simply that it's cheaper than brit part, and you normally get what you pay for? But thanks for the advice, I've asked them to hold my order for the mo as discovered uj''s need replaced so going to complete strip down then list all that I need. Danny
