Discovery 2 shock absorbers

Hello there, relative newbie to this forum. Can anyone help me. Purchased genuine front shock absorbers from Rimmer for my wifes 2003 v8 disco 2. The part number is rnb103694. I have removed the old ones, and these are part number rnb000270. Can anyone tell me the difference, apparently the number on the old ones fitted after a certain vin number and the new ones before. Will I notice any difference. They both fit, both for vehicles with ACE and SLS. Thanks.

Hi, of course u'll feel a difference cos these are new and they'll absorb shocks better.......if they fit then no probs m8

Thanks for that. They look exactly the same, so I'm not going to worry about it now. Live in Ireland, car in for its nct (mot) next week, will report back if anything noticed.
