Hi everyone,

I've got a new transfer box to go into my TD5 with a diff lock. I don't have lever to engage it.

I seen Urban Panzer used to make them on his website but have had no reply to the email I've sent. Is he still active and able to make these levers does anyone know?

I don't fancy paying £300+ for the Ashcroft one, so if anyone can get in touch with Urban Panzer or has a 2nd hand lever for sale give me a shout as I'd like one asap!

Thanks, Shane.

I thought he got his lever kit from Ashcroft as well.

Which website are you looking at?

I also understand you can use the D1 and modify it.

Maybe a more in depth search on here and on google would help you.

Or join the FB D2 / discovery page and put a request in there, always people selling transmissions in there.

Cheers

This is the link to where I found it: http://www.discovery2.co.uk/d2cdl.html

By the sounds of it he adapts a standard Hi/Lo lever to have the diff linkage on it but not 100%

I've been Googling it the last few months but I'll try another few forums etc and see if they can help me with one.

Hi @ShaneMitchinson ,

My impression of reading it is that he has an ashcroft diff lock lever. Plus it look brand new.
He adapts the fitting plate , from a long slot to a square.
IIRC, There was a good review online , maybe on here of fitting a D1 lever in place.

Cheers

Well that is bizarre, I clicked on your linkie first time and it took me to a different page on his website. this one ( http://www.discovery2.co.uk/diff_lock.html ) This is the page that opened , which I already had open by the way.

I see what you are mentioning now. Did not know he made them,

Cheers

Just sounds as if he's been making them himself, but he hasn't been active on here since 2014 so I doubt I'll be getting one from him!

I'm in the middle of making an air operated one but it's not going to be cheap for an onboard air system and getting the parts machined up.

Just need the replacement box in asap as mine is leaking.

Yeah saw that, have never seen that page before.

But then on his website I could not find the direct link to the ones he is making. Only the pages for the D1 to d2 and the ashcroft D2 page.

Anyway, I also saw something with a discussion of someone using a door actuator to slide the mech. Not sure if a std one has the gumption to move a Difflock spigot and engage. Would save using an air supply. Would be interesting to see how you finally do it.

If I was you , on FB I would put a wanted ad on the D2 page and the disco owners page, amazing how many results that seems to pop up.

Cheers

I've seen the D1 but on my old farm 300tdi the mechanism kept seizing and felt very primitive. I'd like to get a nice cable operated one if possible.

I'll join those Facebook groups and see what I can find there thanks!

I have the basis of the air system but the strut I have has too big of a stroke, will just take a lot of trying different lengths etc I think.

Thanks for the help
