hi again guys

i have put some 2" lift springs on my 1998 disco (think i have put them on the wrong way round (front on the back and viceversa) but that isnt the issue. when i was fitting them i noticed that not one of my shockers came back out once i pressed them down. is this normal ? i dont think it is but this is my first landi.

of and as for the wrong way round issue should the car be higher at the front than it is at the back? again i dont think it should but if you dont ask you dont know

lol my first lr too , they take a fair bit of getting to know but looking like you have put front to back , im sure someone with more knowledge will help you out , mine seems to sit pretty level ive just fitted a terrafirma 2 inch lift med duty , good luck

cheers pal, i have worked on them for a few years as all my pals have got them but only made the jump to get rid of my shiney new skoda and get a ****ty old landie last year. i have never seen a shock that stays where you put it , but i have never seen a million quid either and i know that exists

It's normal if they are not gas shocks.

thats what i went for the fat ones on the back, the way i did it was looked at the ones that were on it. the rear ones had a close grouping of coils at the top on the rears and the front ones didnt. and the 4 new (2nd hand) springs i had there were 2 with close groupings at the top. so i figured those were the rear, they also had the most paint missing.

but the front of the car is defo higher than the rear, they guy i got them from said they are pro comp springs if that means anything??

With 2nd hand the rears could be drooping due to wear n tear.

I bought a new kit with springs n shocks and mine sits level might be worth getting a new set of springs
