Having just been browsing around the forum I'm concerned whether I'm running legal or not as far as my bull bar is concerned.
I have a 1997 300 tdi with a full tubular bull bar. It's a genuine part and the "first one" came with the vehicle from a LR dealer (second owner at 2 years old).
I've never actually declared the bull bar to my insurers (NFU) but they did kindly buy me a brand new identical one a couple of years after I had Disco when I stuffed the front end in. The repairs were done at a LR dealer body shop and again a genuine tubular bull bar was fitted.
It's a bit tatty now and I've just been looking around eBay to see what's available (none) then started reading bits on here about them.
Having insured the vehicle on the same policy for 10 years I don't know if I need to declare this or not.
