Thinking of changing my prop on my Disco1 300tdi. Need a new diff anyway so to get rid of the donut fit a front diff to the rear and change the prop to a double uj prop. Been told a 110 prop will fit and do the job. What 110 prop would i need as there are many options. Please help

So if i fit a 90 rear diff to my 300 D1 I will need a 200 D1 rear prop with a spacer. What size will the spacer need to be? Does the 200 D1 prop have 4 holes. Cheers

200 prop has 4 holes 90 diff would have flange and spacer already ,spacer fits behind flange , 3 bolt flanges where made longer incorperating spacer

Ere James, yu saying if yu got a 24spline 300tdi diff & yu want to get rid of the doughnut, yu change it for a 10spline 200tdi one? Shirley that's changing one weakness for another?

no im not saying that or at least not meaning too more would be needed to fit 10 spline diff as half shafts are slightly longer ,24 spline diff and 200 prop, 90 300 diff is 24 spline

Reason for my Q is that I have a spare 300tdi disco rear axle - was thinking of fitting it to my 200tdi, for the stronger 24 spline diff & half shafts, but it has the doughnut :(. Can the front flange be swapped or, as I said, is it swapping one weak bit for another?

most likely pinion would have 4 splines for flange but you never know as alot have later crown wheel and pinions in you can see if you remove nut and washer stc3722 is later fine spline flange kit or frc3002 is just flange as other bits could be reused
