Rejoice that you weren't in a defender cos there's hardly any strength in the a pillarLol yes I am ok so no offence taken from me. I do have pics although they are not brilliant and don't really show the extent of the damage. The passenger side A pillar saved me from any serious harm but sadly I suspect it gave its life for me. If that is the case there is no point in buying her back but she will be sadly missed.
Pity you don't have a log burnerCheers, parts alone come to over 3k and that's provided the A pillar isn't bent. Good strong car, wouldn't have wanted to be in anything else. Tree was about 30 feet tall and they had to close the road to remove the rest of it. Luckily my Disco had smashed it into easily managed pieces apart from the main trunk which just bounced off the screen and rolled off the bonnet.
