Disco v8 oil cooler pipes

Hi all, my disco 2 v8 is in the garage again!!! As usual my mechanic has called to say it is fixed but!!!....
This time he has told me the auto gearbox oil cooler pipes are toast, one lose and one rotten, I understand this is common and disastrous if left as gear box failure is possible when pipes blow,many way I must get to the point! I cannot find any pipes anywhere for this, plenty for td5 but none for the v8 has anyone any suggestions, many thanks

Yes it has been known for D2s to have this problem.
If the pipes are not available all you can do the is get some made up at your local hidrolic company, so remove both pipes and use them as a pattern, the replacement will possibly be better than the originals.

Thanks for reply, after hours of searching and phone calls I have managed to find one of the two pipes (British parts) but I don't think there is another in the uk!!!!! I have a very good hydrolic company near(ish) me who have confirmed they can easily make up the pipe but questioned the quick release end, they haven't seen the pipe yet and neither have I, is the end a common fitting or is it typically landrover and something obscure?

Well, it being a known issue there are a few threads existing already, therefore the fittings concern has cropped up and the opinion is, if in good condition reuse them if u have to.
