Disco TD5 power steering leak (2003)

Can anyone talk me through this please.
I'm really too old to be scratching around under bonnets now but I have a feeling this could be an expensive issue.
Where do I start?
Is the fan left hand thread?
What am I most likely going to find?
Do I really have to use the Texaco fluid they say in the book or can I replace with ordinary pink stuff?

rh thread belt runs on underside of pulley ,i would put proper stuff in, new boxes about £320+vat,if just bottom seal above drop arm might be worth fitting seal kit

Couple of new Adwest, ( OEM ) boxes on ebay at the moment for £ 250 plus p/p.

And would would also put the Genuine fluid in.

The box appears to be leaking from the drop arm seal as you suggested.
My local LR dealer says LR allow only 2 hours to change the box and also that the seal kits are successful.
I will endeavour to get the genuine fluid and keep topping up until I can summon the will to do the job or the money to pay them!!!
