hi im having trouble with me disco td5 at 3800 rpm it holds back then revs then holds back then revs ive tried airflow sensor its new but when i leave it unplugged it does not do it also ive been told to try a new map sensor ? theres no oil in harness waste gate not sticking its doing my head in now any help thoughts would be great thank you. i have a nanocom the fault i get is air flow cuircuit intermitent and overboost?????

Think you've already pinpointed where the problem lies ... Dunno how, but I'd get the airflow sensor checked to see if it works, or try another new one .. preferably Landrover standard OEM fit ... ;)

I'd also check (I dunno if this is applicable as I know little about TD5 specifics) any wiring and connections to the sensor for continuity and good connection.

Check you have a decent battery in .. if the battery is marginal TD5's won't like it and can throw up 'odd' faults.

Finally, get it on a testbook or similar and see what faults are thrown up ...
 
theres a brand new battery on it ive checked all conections to ive just put a new absalute pressure sensor in it now and it seems to have solved it .. its brand new air flow origonal land rover parts ile try it and see if its ok and report back thanks
