Apologies for the photobucket skills on the background, but you get the idea. What do you think?

The question that came to my mind is, what is it that you are representing with this picture?

Is it some form of project that you would like to embark on?

Sorry, just don't get what you are wanting to achieve - maybe a little more explanation would be helpful rather than just "what do you think?"

You think too much! It was simply seeking opinions. Its too involved a project for me to take on, sure I could probably do something vaguely similar but it would never look that neat & tidy. Also, the amount of time/effort/expense would not justify the end result.

It was more a comment/reflection on the fact that most competitors offered a SWB version of their full-size 4x4, for example Shogun/Pajero, Isuzu Trooper, Merc G Wagen, Toyota Landcruiser, Nissan Patrol. In my mind, the 3 door Disco is a little too big for someone without kids/family who doesn't really need that much space. And the shorter length and shorter rear overhang would certainly be handy for off road ability. I guess Land Rover, in their infinite wisdom, decided to do things a bit differently from other manufacturers and just base their 3 door on the same wheelbase, with the same chassis, a lot of the same trim inside (rear seats, etc) just the side panels and front seats different, thus saving development costs etc. The defender is a more "bolt together" car than the Disco so offering different wheelbases was easier there, and I know the Defender 90 is out there but its not quite "car" in the same way the Disco is!

Its interesting that people don't like it - but didn't say why?
