When I go laning in my disco I carry some spares:

a complete wheel bearing kit
fan belt
fuel filter
oil
coolant
PSF
brake fluid
light bulbs
fuses
loads of fat zip ties
can of tyre weld

Just wondering what others keep in their spares kit when going laning - and what they thought was essential?

Round here the lanes can get very muddy & the local 4x4ers, think it's a **** day out if you don't have to abandon at least 1 vehicle, (Last one was stuck in a bomb hole for 7 days and took 3 separate rescue missions & a tracked sno-cat to recover it.) The chavs also seem to like dumping & cars & burning them out, on the lanes. So you have to go prepared as you never know what you're likely to find.

That's what the WP suit is for! tape the arms & legs up and it doubles as a flotation suit.. Very useful for wading into deep mud/water to attach a recovery strop.
