disco loom in s3

mates son is doing an s3 up on a very tight budget, hes only 17 and wants cheap runaround so he can look further out for work.

vehicle came with no wiring so giving him a 94 disco loom i had in shed.

planning on removing any bits he wont need like window loom bits central locking etc.

cant remember what all plugs are for got 4 they are white yellow red and green that are all same with thm are 2white ones and a brown one, assume these are for window switches?

any other bits i need to remove we are using the fuse box that came with loom.

Overkill or what? I take it you've got a series wiring diagram? Might be worth stripping out the wire from the loom and starting from scratch, adding the 4 fuse fusebox to keep it simple and originalish.

take a large piece of plywood ...

drawout you wire feeds on the wood ...

put brad pins/tacks where the bends and junctions go ...

lay in the wires ... either lace it as you go or use heatshrink ...

this is the remains of a disco loom that i stripped of all plugs and bits and built the loom out of for my S2a, very nearly enough wire to build the whole thing just from what i rescued from under the dash and bonnet (the extra bundle of black wire came from a roll i had laying about)
