Looking at putting a disco 300tdi in and there's a '97 auto close to me for sale for a decent price, usual MOT rot box blah blah blah. Any way I believe these have a 'fly by wire' accelerator linkage whatever that means and yes I've done a search

So as I plan on using my existing manual lt77 box what's involved in removing/modifying the throttle linkage to use this engine (simple terms please, pics would be good to), or is it easier to buy an earlier discovery with a normal wire linkage like the one I've already got?
