ive done a 40mm lift on my disco but i havent changed the dampers yet still using air bags on rear but now im getting banging at rear when going over speed humps think its the dampers hitting there full lenght also wont go all the way up on off road mode like they are stopping it from doing so can some one confirm this ???? i am fitting 2 inch dampers and brake lines

yeah i know but will that cause the banging ???? ive had to wait for me dampers but i am finishing the job off 2 inch dampers and brake hoses it only happens when the back axel falls off the hump when going over it ....

it never done this before the lift so has to be dampers although im not a 100% sure its them.. it now goes into off road mode with the air bags its just as im going over the speed humps and the rear tyre leaves them theres a loud thud like the suspension is to hard ????? and thud ????

At the end of the day the vehicle needs dampers that suit the lift. So if it is anything else, which I doubt as you said it yourself it never did it before the lift, then you may find out during the fitting of the new dampers.

Perhaps the inner stop has been moved with all the banging and that is why the system goes into off road mode.
