Hello all,

So I bought an iCarsoft fault code reader (absolutely brilliant piece of kit by the way.)

Under ‘Diesel Engine’ heading the system has detected the following codes and I wondered if anyone knew what any of these meant?

P02AE - Cylinder 6 Balance - fuel trim at maximum limit
P121A - Cylinder Balance - injector restricted
P02AB - Cylinder 5 Balance - fuel trim at minimum limit
P0626 - Generator field terminal - circuit low
P1934 - vehicle speed signal

Also seen P140D - Exhaust Gas Recirculation control circuit B range / performance.

Thanks!!

Using the icarsoft you need to watch the live injector balance numbers, 99.99 percent you have at least one running high, once they get near to 1400 (I think) they trigger a fault code.

Year of car will determine if you can do a cheap egr fix or need to spend some money.

This is mine from about a year or so ago, I tried one new injector and that got the numbers in line for about a year or two then it started again, so I bit the bullet and fitted 6 new injectors.

Bear in mind the injector numbers and cylinder numbers are not the same, very easy to get confused.

I would google the 626 code as alt failure isnt unknown on the D3 and 4 models, bloody expensive as well, genuine Denso only, anyhting else will fail.

o_O I hate to dissapoint you but IMO that tool is full of sh*t, send it back and ask for refund if you still can and if you want something close to that price get Foxwell NT520... i bought ICarsoft myself some time ago fooled by the marketing scam then it became suspect on some codes and i double checked it with 3 other more reliable readers(Nanocom, Foxwell and Hawkeye) which reported different codes in 4 cases all the same and once they didnt show any code while Icarsoft reported one as logged(i forgot it) ... i sent it back without remorse

I attach the official list of codes issued by LR, better don't rely on google nor on that bad joke named "Icarsoft" as you can see it should show the subcodes too not just the simple OBD2 code and for example P0626 is described the other way around cos it's about ''circuit high" not "low" also P1934 is not specific for LR and if it was a problem with the VSS the speedometer should make tricks
