disco 2 valve replacment

hello I have a disco 2 1999 v8 the head gasket went 15 months ago I got the both heads taken off reskimmed ,valves recut ,etc mate put it together for me running great then loss of power not running right took oil filler off bit of pressure coming out anyway aa came out said its sounds like a valve has gone on the drivers side head does anyone one know roughly how much a garage would charge to fix this thanks for any help ,

Two days labour say £760, but depending on your local labour rates in Liverpool, plus parts needed.

If it has dropped a valve then you're in to possible piston/bore damage.

Also check that it isn't a rocker or pushrod problem.

Sometimes you can be lucky and it is rocker broken or pushrod jumped out or cam follower failed.
