DISCO 2 V8 bleeding brakes

hi took the disco in to have a new abs pump fitted, great those yellow lights went out abs working.
local garage who works on landrovers rang me and said he was having trouble bleeding the brakes and he had pressure bled them ,and the old way.
no air in the brakes but he said it feels abite spongy any body got any ideas.

The manual refers to an ABS modulator - assuming its the same as an ABS pump, it states -

'WARNING: If the ABS modulator has been replaced, the brake system must be bled using the procedure on TestBook, to ensure that all air is expelled from the new modulator.'

Not sure what this procedure is though - might mean a hook up to the Testbook diagnostics machine to be done properly.
