does anyone know where to get one from,???

got my disco running again

I've tried to find one previously and they're like hens teeth!

ive googled everywhere, nothing! i was hoping JM might of known summat! lol . you would of thought somebody would of patterned em!

looks like its obsolete , a breakers or a repair looks best option

the one on was beyond repair! lol, the search begins!

I have personal experience with these guys https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/109173/2671/gear_lever_gaiter_inner_discovery_2 as i asked for other obsolete part with the same red "note" and they answered in 3 days as it's still available in LR stock but with 10% more in price which was not a problem for me... before you go further give them a shout cos it's a big chance to find one in an old stock somewhere

This is what I was told when I last spoke to them

"Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately we do not have this part in stock and it is no longer available from Land Rover. We are trying to find stock of these from elsewhere as they are in demand. We will add you to our contact list to contact you when we manage to locate some gaiters"

I never heard back from them so assumed they couldn't find any source.

Too bad then, try at others too like these https://www.lrdirect.com/AWR5526-Gaiter-Gear-Change-Lever/ which are very serious sellers. somebody should be able to help IMO

If no joy then IMO this kind of business is your chance https://www.butserrubber.com/products/rubber-gaiter/ send them a picture of what you need, i know such kind of manufacturers in my country who can make what ever you want on demand

I've just emailed Ashcrofts to see if they are aware of any possible suppliers.
I'll report back if I get a good result.

Got a response from Ashcrofts -- "Sorry we are not able to supply this part"

LRDirect has also confirmed that they can't get them anymore, but will let me know if they do manage to find a supplier.

ive tried all avenues, some same as you, not available, so off to the breakers, but what are the chances of getting a good one? does anyone know a good glue for rubber?

Try a neoprene glue. Although it is recommended for wet suits, I found it did well on other 'rubber items' (!) I bought my tube in France but I'm sure ebay would oblige.

Try this which can be found on eBay. I used the stuff to fix the soles to the uppers on my walking boots and has turned out to be a permanent fix
