I need new discs on my TD5 as one side is warped, I have found a set of britpart drilled and slotted discs for sale, has anyone used britpart discs? are they any good?
obviously i need new pads too, what are the best pads to use for a D2, I have found a set of EBC ultimax pads for £1.50 more than mintex ones, but it says in the advert that they are for normal driving, should I get the uprated Greenstuff 6000 series to compliment the discs or will normal ones be fine??
thanks!

avoid britpart at all costs ESCPECIALLY BRAKES

i have heard the greenstuff pads wear down and groove very easily when used offroad, this is also why i would avoid using drilled or grooved discs as it will just eat them both when the mud gets in there

I've used Britpart brake discs on a couple of occasions and had no trouble with them at all.

However, your question was "which is the best?" - well that would open up to EBC, Girling, Mintex etc etc etc.

Personally I would go for these as a good value compromise:

Just fitted front EBC Ultimax pads and their brilliant and really grab loads better than the genuine pads that were fitted. So I got a full set from the same supplier on eBay (not EBC) to fit in the spring to my Accord which has the Vtec engine so is fastish, but I still don't see the need for the Greenstuff thats for 200bhp vehicles.

I used Mintex front pads once and lasted for 8k where the Genuine lasted 45k that was RRC days then Mintex was £8 to £10 and Genuine was £45 so not a fan of Mintex. EBC's for the disco was around £19 including p&p.

my disco has got britpart discs and pads and they are fine !

if you are using them for standard driving they will serve you well.

they have to meet european standards so any one claiming they aint upto the job obviously dont know what they are talking about.

same with the discs. brit part stuff is cheap and you dont get high quality with cheap but you will get a resonable service life out of them for STANDARD use.

Vivnap When i fit brakes to my vehicle i want good quality. Had too many issues with britpart to trust them.
When it comes to stopping over 2 ton don,t settle for 2nd best.
P/S i no wat i,m talking about
