Disco 1 speakers

Make up a patch lead to connect from your pink plug to the pre-amp output at the rear of the head unit to get the audio signal to the sub amp in the back door, the amp also requires two 12v supplies permanant and switched which should be found in the other plug.
I had a few wires to connect to my Pioneer unit and put away.

My audio plug is a bit different as shown.

So, do I need to attch the red and black wires from the pink block to an RCA connector them plug into the pre amp output. The wires for the 12v supply, are they in the white block in picture 1 or are they in the grey block in picture 2? Where do I connect these wires? Lastly, do I need to connect to both outputs or is one for sub and one for amp? I get a bit lost if it goes further than plugging in the multiplug at the back,lol.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise that You were A: the first discovery 1 owner to have this problem. Or B: exempt from having to do a quick search thru the forum to see if anyone else had asked or answered your questions already!!

I do not wish to get into a slanging match red, I know dick all about car electrics and I am trying to solve what to you may seem like a simple problem. Maybe if you gave me advice instead of attitude I would have this solved by now.

I did give you advice. obviously not the advice you wanted though. Do a search it's been covered loads of times. I've even posted a link to an ebay seller that sells the rca connector you need.

And as for understanding the situation in Ulster I probably understand a lot more than you realise. My father been born and raised on the Shankhill. Although his view was a little one sided..

Sorry Red, just this is doing my head in, It is most likely an easy fix but as I said, I'm no wiring expert. The missus is also giving me earache for spending so long on the forums, lol. The disco is hers as I ride bikes so she won't let me feck about with it unless I know what I'm doing (bloody women). I have searched this forum and other ones too and get a lot of conflicting info. Please accept my apologies.

Sometimes it's hard to find specific threads - titles vary so much and wording is different so certainly in my case, after a fruitless search, I often find it easier to start a new thread. Then, often, a helpful member will post a link to a previous thread or two. Doesn't do any harm and keeps the forum active.

Thanks to everyone that has offered help and advice. One last thing, I need to find out how to connect the sub up to be switched by the 12v switching wire. The sub works great from the radio but not at all when in cd mode. I believe this is because the head unit turns off the power to the antenna when playing cds.

this is correct, if you have an aftermarket head unit, there should be another feed wire for this, its normally blue/blue and white.failing this, just run a wire from any ignition live , as its only a small 12v 2 amp draw.

on an aftermarket head unit the blue/white cable is for a powered antennea and the solid blue wire is to send power to the amp (if applicable) to turn it on!

Just run a amp + sub in the boot not to big mind coz you wont be able to get the seats out, when i bought my landy a young lad had and put some silver/blue speakers in place of standard ones they sound dreadful very tinny, went down to scrappy and got 4 standard ones much better!
