I got sick of having 2 dirty muddy lights in the bumper of my 1994 Discovery 300 tdi. So... I soldered wires to the unused bit of the stop/tail connector in the rear clusters & connected these back to the feeds to & from the rear lighting socket. I was bright & pleased for 3 days, then tonight I found I had no rear lights, no instrument lights. 5 mins later, they came back, then I found that wiggling the light/indicator switch makes it work/fail. Should I have put in relays ? or do I simply need another expensive 2 legged switch, as mine has survived 190,000 miles.
