Worked bang on for me but I didn't bother soldering the unit, I just bought the bypass plug which replaces the unit. Never let me down again. let me know how you get on

Update - went this morning and picked up a spider unit, took the whole dash apart and guess what, no bastard spider unit. Put it all back together now :(

You have the 2 button locking so therefore no spider. it is all controlled from the alarm control unit. You will have a 3 wire DDS fuel immobiliser so very difficult to bypass. easyiest bet is to put a new ACU on. simply unplug the old one and plug in the new. i would recommend unplugging the alarm sounder. If you can, get one with the fobs already programmed, i.e. from a breaker. if you cant, you will need to gwet someone who can program fobs to the ACU

Ok thanks. Do the numbers on the Acu have to match (current one is amr 6429) ive had a search and some have slightly different numbers on them.
Just going to be really hard to find the exact number (partcode) Acu.

Yes they do, also the same frequency if u intend to reuse your fobs after they have been programmed to match the replacement ECU.

Better to purchase an ECU complete with fob/s.

Yes looking to purchase acu with fob - saves a lot of hassle
ive messaged loads of breakers, so fingers crossed :D

Just got my replacement ecu (amr6429 Same as my old one) and fob from a breaker. Plugged it in and engine turns over but doesnt fire up.
Any suggestions lads?
Thanks

had same problem with mine, in the end took the the edc pump off put a second hand old style pump on cost me £50 for pump, had to change injector pipes and brackets for kick down cables mine is auto, turned key and she started first time.

I went down the route of amr box and and fob but they will need coding into ecu in drivers footwell, but made no difference I put it down to electrics in pump, mine played up after some deep wading, ran fine for rest of day but after been parked up for week was dead on fob and ignition.

hope this helps
