Hi, would you ever be worried about buying a TD5 with a very dirty engine i.e. does it indicate anything other than lazy owners?!!

It doesn't wreak of proud ownership either, though.

Engine bays can be cleaned up in a matter of an hour so no worries there, I would be MUCH more concerned about:

Rear chassis rust;
ACE pipes
Oil leaks
et
etc
etc

That's exactly what I thought....bloody hell ...I'm sure it's only the baked on dirt and mud on the engine that's stopped mine leaking :D

Lol, I went and got myself stuck at a P&P once (only ever been stuck once!) and I do some pretty wild things. Laid off the water a bit though (made up for that in my profile pic).

Anyway, after being pulled out of this almighty mud pit, I looked in the engine bay and the fan had decided to work as a muck flinger and covered the whole engine bay in a nice crust of quarry mud. Brilliant. Being a TDi though I just got a pressure washer and blasted it. Man, I love TDi's for that. If I did that to the V8 disco, it would soon get a sulk on :D
