diff wont lock

hi all my 300tdi center diff lock wont work.the lever moves freely into lock position but nothing happens.ive seen loads of posts about the lever seizing but thats not the issue.hi/low selects fine but no diff lock.any ideas?thanks

check linkage is okay not too loose or broken ,pivot point has plastic bushes often missing and also is adjustable to ensure engagement also if diff lock switch is wound in too far it will stop selector moving which is spring operated in box so lever will still move

what have you done to confirm its not working?

one wheel on each axle will still spin when its engaged.... is the dash light coming on?

the easiest way to check is just jack one front wheel up enough to clear the ground if it turns no difflock it it wont difflocks engaged if you need to adjust /fix leave the wheel like that for testing diff lock may not engage /disegage till wheel turned
