Iam going to be changing the oils im my front and rear diff, can anybody tell me if i can use FULLY SYNTHETIC oil like Millers TRX Synth 75w90 or just stick to Mineral oil EP 75w80 GL5.
By the way its on a Defender 130 300 Tdi 1996
Many Thanks.
PS Done a search but couldn't find a correct answer .

Is there any advantage over the mineral oil EP? I generally just stick to the recommended lubricants when servicing as it's easier, but if someone on here says differently then they probably know what they're talking about.

I use half EP and half Lucas Oil Stabilisor which quietens down the diffs no end. Also use it in the engine, gearbox and transfer box. Amazing stuff.

I run syn trans oils in my 90, but only because i can get it for nowt, if i was paying it would be good old 80/90.
