Im worried that all may not be well and could do with an expert opinion -
Ive heard that if you spend too much time with your head under a car- breathing in oil fumes and the like it's possible that you lose the ability to communicate with the opposite sex and end up resorting to searching the internet for hours on end to look at "funny" clips.
I am very concerned as I've heard that once you go down this route its nigh on impossible to return to normal- can you advise ?

i assume this is a half hearted attempt at distracting peoples attention away from your thread within which you admit to having had dependers for 14 years and yet you STILL don't know how diff lock works on them ?

its all very well the blokes fallin about and takin the **** but someone at sometime showed them or taught them how to do it ( actually thinking about it i think some of them were born just knowing- its in the dna !)
im on my 3rd defender- 14 years and although i kind of understand in theory about the diff lock ive never had anyone show me and therefore dont feel comfortable using it.
so when the urge to take the **** becomes too strong for some of u to cope with please remember that not all of us have a handy landy bloke about to just "know" how to do it
best way to learn about how anything works is to take it apart and have a look and a play!

I have to hang my head with shame- you were quite right - it was a half arsed attempt -
know that I dont deserve to own a defender let alone write on this esteemed site when after all that time I still can't sus it out. Didnt realise there was a limit to how inept you could be.
I will immediately start work on a for sale advert and look to trade in for a mini -a nice girls car. ( will also ring social services to take a number of kids into care coz wont be able to fit them in new car).
Many thanks for your guidance and for pointing out my complete incompetance and the error of my ways -I will from now on stick to all things womanly like cooking cakes and sewing.
