right guys thanks for the replys the air has been very difficult for months new compresor new left leg , lots of spurious fault codes now displaying the sus inactive message no lights on selector switch and then scanned and failure to comunicate with ecu came up .

using a snapon solus pro with 13. something software , used it lots of times over the last few weeks no problems at all .

and the coils are ordered and in shipping . :( dont want it on coils but its a chocolate fire guard at the moment .... I Need reliable ..

you want reliable ??? then why buy a 70k old motor ??

cant run these beasts on a budget !

count yourself lucky with what you have done.

mine has had a new compressor, two new front air struts, two new front and rear height sensors, front sensor wiring harnesses....

and shes running lovely :)

:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughiYou bought an L322 and you want reliable:rolleyes: The two things are mutually incompatable:lol:

Have you checked the steering angle sensor, ABS module main connector for water ingress, wheel sensors etc which are all contributing factors which need to be all working in harmony
for a fully operational EAS, personally I think you a wasting time money and effort putting coils on, a defeatist attitude to me I have had seven of these motors (2 currwntly)and all have had their problems but none have ever defeated me dispite the cost, aggravation or stupidity of LR design and build issues, get it on decent diagnostics then you might stand a chance! Just my two penneth worth.

this i agree with , anyone got decent diagnostic kit that can help before i commit ride comfort suicide . its a big door stop at the moment stuck in the drive not moved for 4 months

May be the cost of the coil conversion would have bought you a decent diagnostic kit and the parts to fix it??

i dont know what this will do as regards to putting light on the subject , just looking for the air ecu and i came across 2 inches of water in the foot well under the carpet on the left side , wiring loom soaking but appears ok just wet . body ecu module looks fine thats under the seat and dry . still not located the air ecu , supposed to be under dash on left but no sign yet need more dry weather and some light on subject .

Tried a different make diagnostic today still no comms with air ecu .

Think it's time you looked in the left rear quarter panel for water ingress as well if you want to save all the sat/nav and stereo gubbins from water damage?

checked the rear left qtr and its dry as a bone .

removed and opened both the air and the bcm ecu both dry and corrosion free .

no physical symptom there guys .... HELP :flame:

its a diagnostic / communication problem or the ecu has died .
