Looking at the OBD plug on the scrapper because it doesn't work. There's a spare red and grey wire at the back. Is that normal?! Should it go somewhere? No spare bits of metal that I can see.

Checked all fuses in BECM and they're all good. Any other ideas? I think this isn't @tomcat59alan 's first rodeo.

It certainly is isn't,fuse 33 5 amp is the power to the odb plug pin 16 pins 4&5 are ground.its a brown wire from 16 that runs under the heater and is spliced at the right hand side of the heater to a brown wire that passes through the bulkhead and comes out under the header tank in the main loom then on to the fuse box.;)

Cheers. I'll try and have another look tomorrow. I only recall about 8 wires going into it.

The connector behind the kick panel was green and 1 pin fell out when I pulled it apart.

Brownie point to Mr Cat: fuse 33 it was. Thanks. Now, what horrors await?!

Hmmm. Cannot get into EAS. EDC was a bit hit and miss too. Managed to turn off immobiliser and EKA which should save a lot of messing about.

Easier to start than yesterday which makes me suspect leak off pipes are living up to their name.

Now, back to weeding!
