Got a 24 spline truetrac that I will be selling but need to identify if it is a front or rear. The part number is 912a694 does anybody know which one this is

If the gears rotate CLOCKWISE on the top end of the carrier, it’s a REAR Truetrac

If the gears rotate COUNTER-CLOCKWISE on the top end of the carrier, it’s a FRONT Truetrac.

Yes I've read that but just trying to identify it without taking it apart which is what I'd have to do to check the rotation thanks though

You mean it is still attached to your motor? If your going to sell it you will have to remove it, so check the rotation then? ;)

It's already installed in a diff not an axle. You have to remove the end plate on the diff to see which way they rotate when the gears come out if I read right, didnt want to strip it down really

The model number of my front Truetrac is 910A416, but I don't know what the numbers mean in terms of the individual applications.
Try Google for parts list, or ring an Eaton agent, they will have a list of part numbers.

I have been ringing company's all day and unfortunately the number stamped on the diff doesn't exist apparently. Thanks for the reply

i wish youd stop doing that i was talking to a automatic box guy today whose had to lay staff off because ebay an interest in only big names

Totally with you on this, theres many other companies out there that'll do a better job than Ashcroft too!

Not seen your work in person but from the reviews on here if I ever need one of my gearboxes doing and don't have the time myself it'll be going to you instead of Ashcroft!

Some ridiculously overpriced stuff on their site too!
