hi

thought it was going to well

does anyone happen to know about these electric seats please

the drivers seat which ive just fitted for now won't work

is memory and heated , not worried about that in it having memory or heated , just trying to get the motors to work

checked all the fuses etc but am really lost where to go from here

wondering if anyone on the offchance may be able to help please

thks so much

They are real simple seats if a freelander.........
If nothing works is their voltage coming to the seat is the first one to check, make sure the seat ecu is connected correctly
Fuses and relays

yeh i know , lol

will pull the battery off first and get a multimeter on the block , due to the air bags etc tied in with the multiconnector and have to take that off to get to it

thks mate :D

Complex job unlike mine,
Changing the presssure release valve on a Bali boiler, any way to do it other than dropping g the water?

here, shall we just swap jobs, lol

no have to release the pressure ,there's around 1.5 bar pressure

have u checked the expansion vessel , can sometimes cause the pressure relief valve to fail

with the pressure discharge , find the expansion vessel, find the tyre valve, put a tyre pressure gauge on it, if its zero u can pump it back up to around 16psi , or may need a new expansion vessel

hope that's useful

right , tested the plug , have a permanent 12 volts there

on the other side though there isn't a plug from the loom

so it seems i have to try and work out how to get 12 v i to the loom to operate the motors

at least there's 12 volts

LOL biggeeeeeeeee IT'S witchcraft all this lecy stuff  But if i'm right if you power up 1 way the motor will run 1 way & if you power up other way round it will run other way  think it's only alters the polarity as to which way you press the switch  I MAY be WRONG:eek::oops:

how did i know u would pull my leg , again :p:D

pics are of the connector that goes into the memory ecu box

would this be the connector that supplies the ecu box with power

wondering if i cut off the black connector from the passenger loom, put the black plug into the ford multiconnector

then cut it into the back of the plug that goes into the memory ecu

what do u think please or am i going down the wrong route

as i assume that i need to get 12 volts into the memory box or is it somewhere else that the loom needs to be powered

just trying to slowly work it out , but hands up am rather lost to say the least , lol

it's a way of bypassing this memory box and getting the 12 volts into the loom ??

Gary have you Put 12v to the motors just to check they work:rolleyes:

have 12 dcv at the multiplug but not into the loom ,

need to somehow work out what powers the rest of the loom , where i need to get the 12 vdc to ,

think about cutting up the passenger loom , to use the black connector , that then plugged into the multiplug , then thinking of cutting the other connector and piggy it back ??

but got to work out what connector on the memory ecu reds the 12vdc

Ye but Gary the pic of your motor & seat frame the motor plug plugs into the plug that is fasten'd to the frame ! were duz the 1 that's on the frame get it's power from ?

SCRAP that it's got nowt to do with the motor  The wires out the back of your motor THINK 1 will be earth 1 will be power & 2 MAY be fwd & rev ! not into lecy so may be wrong

that's what i need to find out

got the 12 volts at the seat , but not on the seat loom

but then need to find out which plug on the loom get the 12 volts, think i need to run some wiring to that relevant plug

I don't know how much of the D2 systems were adopted and adapted as a basis for the D3, but if that's the case then the motors are "reversable" by reversing the polarity of the two wires to each.
On the D2 there are four motors for each seat; seat backwards/forwards, seat front edge up and down, seat back recline and seat rear edge up and down.
There is also an air pump for inflating the lumbar support.
The seat heaters, seat and seat back are shown to be wired in series.
The drawing also shows a relay somewhere to power up the whole shootin' match.
As I said, I don't know whether any of the earlier D2 techniques were transfered to the D3, but it might just help.
