Hi all ive just joined. I am wondering if anyone could help. My 2006 range rover sport hse. The back heated seats work but the front dont. The lights come on when you push the buttons but no heat.

Thanks Stephen

Hi Stephen and welcome to the club!😎
Have you gone through your fuses to check for a blown one or two?
You can check under the seat after identifying the heater plugs and check there is voltage there. If so the heater elements could be damaged inside the seat. 👍

If it were a fuse I doubt the light would come on.... broken wires are common I was speaking to a mechanic chap who said the passenger seat heated seats often went and the cause was mums kneeling on that seat to sort the baby out in the back.

Thank you very much but ive tried the fuses and both ok. I dont have a multimeter to test with. Everything is plugged in underneath. It could be the element as it does have 216000 miles on and still going strong 💪. Also the 4x4 screen is showing the passenger rear wheel is low which makes it deflate every night. I have changed the sensor twice the plug once and done a calibration myself and its still the same. Any ideas lads ?

Rear wheel, as in the suspension?

Yes mate rear passenger wheel. Everything works fine when its running. It goes up and down etc. But the screen says its down. I have took the fuse out over night and it stayed inflated all night put it back in next day and left it and it was on its bump stops next day

Hi Stephen, welcome to LZ.
Be careful if you push the button and the lights come on but no heat, if the elements are broken you may be supplying power to them and they could arc and burn. No heat “Turn them off”.
I left mine and it wasn’t long before the smell of electrical smouldering filled the cabin. There are various replacement elements available for a DIY fix. Good luck.
Tricky

Plse first check the heights in normal ride height

In mm from the centre of the wheels to the bottom of the wheel arches on each wheel to see what they are

May I plse ask what number fuse did u remove

Thks

For the tyre have the rim checked for cracks?
Doing well for the mileage then😎

Hi mate i have done that myself with my fault reader. Funnily enough tho it doesn't show any faults for the suspension on the reader. All the special programs work fine.

Did you get the sensor mounted correctly - and is it the correct sensor?
The calibration will fail if values are not within +/-3mm of expected measurement based upon the other wheel positions so it's possible the calibration wasn't fully completed.
Compare the sensor mounting to the opposite side, if you're not sure, post a photo. The sensors are unique to each corner so if you used a front or one for the offside rear, the position reported will be incorrect.

Hi mate thanks for your interest. I got the sensor off amazon as it said the left rear sensor. It all fits correctly. I done the calibration with the measuring tape and they are all spot on just cannot get the light off the dash as for some reason my fault reader wont let me into the ecu even know it is a expensive 1 and does the calibration.

Thanks

Disconnect the sensor arm from the suspension arm and move the sensor arm upwards, what is shown on the 4x4i screen?
What is the LR part number of the one you bought?

Done that multiple times and it doesn't move it stays fully down on the screen. The other 3 work on the screen

Then its either a wiring fault or a sensor fault, have you checked the connectors in the NSR wheelarch, mounted on the chassis rail for moisture ingress? What position is shown on the 4x4i screen with the height sensor unplugged?
