edit.
guess ice uses one too, just an ebay version.....

A lot fookin cheaper than 65p or a lot fookin cheaper than the UK? I think in some areas, (Alberta, Manitoba) it is even less at about 55p!

A lot fookin cheaper than the uk.

Might have a receipt lying around somewhere, I'll see if I can dig it out when I get bored. After I've took me washing me to bits, After I've been to B&Q to buy the girl below to buy some paint, after I've.....

well that thread certainly saw some action...

I have to pipe up here.
It seems long term users of this forum like to belittle rather than embrace new members.

This Ice guy.....had some fair points and I did read this thread through..
Most of his posts were deleted but the members on the other side of the argument did not have there abusive posts deleted.....

Old boys club this I suppose..............:D

sorry pal but you are talking complete ballcocks - he was advocating something that might lead to peeps having their vehicles taken from them for non payment of fuel duty - i was encouraging him to show ANY form of official evidence to support his claims

he didn't - and then on here and many other threads got snotty and generally abusive - so he was sent on a little holiday

It is important to note though, what he was suggesting (running a diesel on old engine oil) is 1. illegal 2. the combustion products at a very minimum will be carcinogenic 3.the engine will wear quickly on this abrasive fuel.4. If you have a cat fitted ,it will wipe it out quickly
So basically it is a big no no,and not worth considering-how on earth he could try and dress it up with a biofuel allowance is beyond belief.
I am probably considered on the edge running my 300 tdi on homemade biodiesel, but the worst I am going to do is plug a filter or dissolve a non bio proof rubber component-none of which has happened yet.

Oops.......will I get banned now.....

Got snow in Orkney yet Sean? Still tropical down here-ish

not yet - I've been outside most of today and it's certainly got fooking cold this afternoon so I guess it's the start of that cold front they keep warning us all about

as soon as we get snow I promise to send some down south

Ye can't have read the thread then... Sean and others were remaining civil and trying to coax an answer out of him, but he just refused and became increasingly more abusive... he was well deserving of what he got to be quite frank.

neither did ice:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

But I saw his posts disappear.....deemed too abusive I spose no one else's were.

Just wonderin what the craic is..?
If I say summin that does not agree with the opinion of the old boys club will I get banned?

Just askin like........?
