Well it was bound to come to this at some point, I've decided that I'm selling the Defender, I've now got to come to a price for it.

How much do you think for a modded 200 tdi 110 with ££££'s spent on it.

But in need of some TLC

Good chassis, could do with a bulk head, only 45k on the engine, sticking hand brake, worn cvj, new heater motor

Loads of mods including dual battery, 2" lift, chequer plate, white eaight spokes, halogen clear headlamps, NAS light conversion, roof rack, safari snorkel, Rear bulk head removal bar for extra cabbin space, chequer plate rear door card and footwell plates, light guards, rear sliding windows fitted, window grills, rear bumperrets.

Movin in to a disco

Age? Mot? Tyres? Pictures? I'd say get any annoying faults fixed as buyers will be well put off. A ****ty bulkhead will also put people off bigtime. One thing's for sure prices have dropped in the last year or so and there are a lot about so people can afford to be choosy.

they fetching around £2k if its as you desribe but cant value something you cant see, people will knock shed loads of dosh of they got to start throwing money at it.. what year is it?
if i was parting with 4k i would want a top motor
some companys will charge you £1500 to supply and fit a new bulkhead, but you can buy a bulkhead repair kit but then its work and welding and painting

with a decent bulkhead i'd say 4k, maybe 4.5k.

however a bulkhead replacement, drop it down to 3k-3.5k, specially with the huge value crash in fuel hungry motors!!

the bulkhead is going to put people off , for 4k you can do much better.
at least its got a good chassis going for it , tired bulkhead can indicate a tired chassis as well.

Loads of mods including dual battery, 2" lift, chequer plate, white eaight spokes, halogen clear headlamps, NAS light conversion, roof rack, safari snorkel, Rear bulk head removal bar for extra cabbin space, chequer plate rear door card and footwell plates, light guards, rear sliding windows fitted, window grills, rear bumperrets.

really the only usefull mod on there is the roof rack. things like light grilles and snorkles arnt really going to throw people too much , unless thats what they are after.

fix the bulkhead , its an easy job and your landrover will be worth much more than it costs you to do it (providing you do it your self) other wise im afraid its a landrover with a crappy bulkhead dressed up in toys.

put a price on it , find out how much a bulkhead replacement down in your local garage will cost you (parts and fitting) then thats how much peoiple will have to pay ontop of your price , it doesnt sound so realistic with that ontop.
a bulkhead will cost you 200 quid , paint 20 odd , bits and bobs 30 , plus 2 days of your time.
so , for around 250 quid and two days work you can add an extra 1500 quid onto the asking price.

yeah i'd say the 2inch lift and roof rack are the only things of any value, and thats even if their wanted!!

i still rekon 4k.

alll those ££££££££s spent bear no relation to it's value now - the fact that it needs a bulkhead is a good indication of how well it has been looked after

£1250 ono

As it's a very early 110 with a 200tdi engine fitted the milage is irrelevent, As Sean & Nobber ses, with a crap bulkhead it isn't worth mor than £1500 - £2000.
You can pick up a 200tdi disco with a decent engine & box for £400 nowadays and you'll get £150/£200 scrap once you've taken the engine & Tranmission out. Add that to any money you make selling gearbox, wheels ,interior etc. And a 200tdi conversion doesn't add any real value to it either.

The only real way to establish a price is to bung it on ebay. There are plenty of buyers out there and the prices are fairly consistent. My own 110 cost me 3 grand about 2 years ago. I'm currently doing it up due to it ending up in a lot worse condition than was apparent when I bought it. I reckon I'll have spent about a grand on it plus countless hours of my own labour, which by the time I'm done with it will include new x-member, major bulkhead repairs and a 200tdi with a disco transfer box. I absolutely know it still won't be worth 3 grand. There's no way I'd have spent significant time and money on it unless I was planning on keeping it for a long time because there's no way it actually adds any value.

what do you intend doing with the engine Mr Notts ?

Got to see if i can buy it back first, i have been told by a couple of people now that i may not be able to because of the severerty of the damage.

The engine did cut out in the accident so may be fooked anyway
