Hi Guys,
I looking for some more technical informations about defender,
what kind of engines it have, gear boxes, transmission case and so one..
any can help, some links, web sites....

(i'm thinking to buy a defender, but for first i likt to read more about some car, before I buy it)

i was googleing in 3 different countries websites, LR clubs and so on,
and nothing perfect at all....
that why i ask

(and i'm tired about jeeps, so that for i would like to buy some thing better !)

And I agree, search for your self. Will never understand people that cant pull their finger out their bum and just do it.

theres a good few to choose from ,why not help people by giving price range ,petrol or diesel,other preferences

It could either have a 12J or 13J N/A Diesel engine, a 19J turbo diesel engine, a 300Tdi diesel engine, a 200Tdi diesel engine, a TD5 Diesel engine, a TDCi diesel engine or a V8 petrol engine, or if it is a really early model, a 2.5 or even a 2.25 petrol engine. But then again, there is the possibillity that it could have something entirely different fittted.
The gearbox is either going to be an LT77 or R380, but that is not 100% certain, as something else may have been fitted instead.
The transfer box will definately be an LT230, unless of course it has something else
It will have either a 110 inch wheelbase or a 90 inch wheelbase, unless it is a 127 that is.
It will either be a station wagon, a hardtop, a pick up, a crew cab pickup, a commercial wagon or a soft top. Or possibly none of those.
It will have either 2, 3 ,4 or 5 doors.
