@lightning are you 100% its not using coolant?

Yes l’ve done over 40,000 miles and it never needs topping up.
Also the smoke didn’t occur with the standard map.
It only does it if you floor it in third or fourth gear at under 1500 rpm

youd expect black smoke not white,waiting for boost to catch up with fueling
 
I think there was a post on here a while ago where their TD5's timing was out and it turned out the camshaft sprocket had slipped slightly in relation to the shaft itself. The bolt holes are slightly oval. I seem to remember it had a happy ending because he was ale to move it round a degree or two and things were much better.
