Defender TD5 starting problem

Hello,

I have had a fault with my landy on and off for a month now.
Sometimes when I try and start it the fuel
Pump starts up but then I go to the start position on the key and nothing happens, no starter motor or anything. Then a few hours later ill try and it will start straight away. I'm guessing its something to do
With the immobiliser? Electrics are definitely my weak point.. Any ideas?

Sounds like the immobiliser indeed. That fault might need hands on diagnostics.

The Viper systems I install will cut ignition and starter so you won't even get the pump to run since crank sensor activates the pump through the ECU. Not too sure how the land systems works but I will soon, someone asked me look at theirs.

I have exactly the same problem with mine which has just started today , I have 2 immobiliser's though !

wiggle the fly lead connector on the starter motor.
