the search function seems to never work these days so I’ll ask anyway!
I’m changing the radio in my Defender and saw these radio mounts and was confirmed to fit my early TD5 Defender (FF003696 - Dashboard Radio Housing - up to 1A622423 (pre dashboard face-lift models only))
It fits, but needed a lot of butchering and will still need some more to fit it properly. What i had before was this, which just seemed to be screwed into the dash with self tappers, and I’ve lost count how many times it’s fallen down because it’s not actually screwed to much.
Is it normal that these are just screwed into nothing? The new one I got has a lip at the top that sits under the dash so it’s always supported at the top, but it doesn’t quite fit so I’ve had to cut a lot of the back away
