Spare wheel carrier painted and the spare bolted on, the wheel and tyres looked big on the landy but look bloody huge when hung on the back ! I think I may need some weigh on the front now to keep the wheels on the ground 🤦‍♂️🤪 maybe a set of ford tractor weight may do the trick haha

Spare wheel cover turned up today, another ebay bargain due to a few small scratches it cost me £41. A scotch pad and a quick spray job and hey presto as new, have to admit its a bit of a struggle to get it over the tyre (bit like trying to get a condom on an african elephant) but will look good once dry and fitted. (Thats the tyre and not the elephant!)

Treated Mrs Hughes to a weekend at the Shakespeare theatre and a weekend at Stratford upon avon, and my treat a visit to the British Motor Museum to see Huey… and in true landrover style Huye was hidden in the garage being mended … ahhhhh! You could just imagine my disappointment, however after talking to a member of staff I sneaked round the outside of the building and managed to get a glimps of the holy grail ! Oh and a sit in Shaun the sheeps truck ! A well worthwhile visit to anyone that hasn’t been, some very interesting vehicles and friendly knowledgeable staff.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Went all the way to the museum but that day he was being prepared for a day when paying visitors could get a ride in him. Bitter disappointment as I peered through that same window at him. 🤣

Finishing touches, some reproduction Conwy Landrover number plates ! And some LR rear mud flaps
