Hello all, I'm just finishing off putting my 110 200tdi back together after a bulkhead and various renovations. Before I did the job I had a light on the dash that would come on with the handbrake applied. I now don't have that light, what is even more puzzling is that I don't have a switch on the handle and I can't see any trace of the yellow and white wire.
Does anybody know if there is something else controlling this, another switch or is it some form of LR voodoo?
Thanks for your help in advance.

My handbreak has a small push switch on the part of the frame that bolts to the seatbox. Should be two wires behind seatbox colour depends on age mine was white and black and a black think older ones diffirent. put a spade crimp on white/black and the black earth's on the press switch fitting shoild be a lil hole for wires above the hole for the brrak cable. It's doubled up with the brake fluid float switch aswell. So if handbreak is on or fluid low should have the ( ! ) sign.
If you took the switch off its like a lil T shape and the handle has a sticking out part towards back to press it. Guessing push to break type

Cheers, I'll have another look tonight but I don't recall there being any wires there, when I had my seat box out last year I would have come across these wires......
I'm still leaning towards voodoo!

Where loom goes round gearbox there's a takeoff for the Rev light after that it goes over under drivers seat there should be takeoff for diff lock warning light and then the wires for handbreak warning light

Oooh that's diffirent to mine. Is there anything behind? Mines abit newer than yours
Was it actually a handbreak light? If was just the ( ! ) that coulda been the float switch in the brake fluid
Mines got a lil bit where your cable is with a switch yours must be too old for that either have some else or not have?

If the wiring isn't there, it can't have been the handbrake. If you have a low brake fluid switch (on the cap under the bonnet) check it's working OK.
