That might work, but it is an awful lot of work, and it still wouldn't make a huge amount of difference, those engines don't rev much above 2500 rpm. which while good for offroad use, will quickly become tiring on the road. There are some very good Turbo Disel engines out there that produce almost as much power, but over a much more useable rev range, and with much better economy too.But for a good offroader with 190bhp,
Maybe a range rover gear n transfer, axles?
Why not a TD5 and use alive tuning can get up to 235-250hp from it, but 200hp is a little easier don't need to change the turbo then. and would be cheaper than a perkins and all the mod to make it fitBut for a good offroader with 190bhp,

The only info I can find about that is fitting a J60 engine in a Jag. The J60 was a 4.2 petrol engine used in the Scorpion reconnaissance vehicle. The engine in the OP looks like a Perkins 1000-6 HR5 which are only rated to 2500 rpm max.
Yes, the Classic Vogue LSE had a 4.2 V8Oh ok.
So perkins no...
Jag yes, well possible. Was there a 4.2 rr?![]()
